The term has being so challenging me for me academically. I have more courses to take this term and long hours labs. But that pretty good. The curriculum of my program is so rich and we are being taught what is needed academically and industrially.
I haven't really had time in participating in different fun that much except for football once in a long while. I'm a member of the newly approved Rotaract Club by the University and we have so much plans for the term to impact our neighbouring community. I guess I will definitely catch some fun in the coming events.

Happy New Year folks
It's being an amazing year for 2011. Here comes 2012 with his challenges and fortunes. I had a lovely and wonderful Christmas break. There was a massive clearance and sale during the Christmas period, good things became affordable and I made good use of the opportunity. Life in Birmingham has being so far interesting and welcoming. So many course works awaits me in the Uni and another academic term is about to be fired, All is well. The 3 weeks break was necessary to make us relax and rejuvenate for the coming term. Happy new year to you folks, I have missed so many friends and can't wait to see them again. However, I can't also wait to see the term 1 examination result.

Christmas! Christmas! Christmas!
Presently, even the atmosphere testifies to the Christmas season, the whole town is well brocaded especially places of attraction like the City center. So much good deals here and there and wonderful sales offer. More people arrive into the UK at this season of the year for various reasons. This season has being a long time anticipation for me but one thing is missing.......it has not snow yet in Birmingham, though I learnt it snowed in some part but for like hours but we haven't got the snow as it usual phenomenon around. I really wish to see the snow and even experience a white Christmas. Above all, am expecting some gifts from folks cause it's Christmas.........nevertheless I'm obligated to show some love to other people also

Christmas around the corner
So many signs will create an awareness for Christmas once December arrives, streets and lanes will take on decorations, trees will receive electric illuminations, stores will begin Christmas offers and sale, jingles on TVs will multiply and most especially the weather will tell, Snow. I can't really wait to experience Christmas, well not just Christmas but a white Christmas. I learnt it was a white Christmas last year and I will be so glad for nature to re-occur this year also.
A close friend of mine had his birthday celebration early December and I though of getting him a gift. I dashed to the city centre (Bull ring) to just get him anything lovely. While I was navigating through the city centre from store to stores, I saw people waiting along barricaded path that cut across the major roads but my curiosity never led me to ask this time about the reason for their gathering. All of a sudden, I had jingles and realised a Christmas awareness was being made. Different people in different costumes such as angels, snowman, Santa claus, cartoon characters and so on with Christmas jingles and different brocaded auto-mobiles. Check out the video, I did a recording this time.
I splitted the video so that viewers don't miss out on any instead of watching a long video. It has been a great experience so far in Birmingham. Presently preparing for my first term exam and I have being trying to avoid catching fun because I like going to the city centre and if time is not properly managed here, you won't spend it judiciously. See you guys later

The Special dinner
Yea, am glad to write this section of my post. I was invited by the Solihull Rotary Club for a dinner alongside some other students. Words cannot express the reception we got from the host. We were all celebrated and entertained. So much to eat, wine and drink, I met many Rotarians and really had fun. The students invited were from different countries and some of us shared our cultural values with the curious Rotarians. They were so glad to have us and I never regretted attending. I met elderly folks there and the students from Aston University whom I have never met in the Uni.
Different wine were made available, name the colour and you can have it in abundance. Cakes of different recipe and fruit salad to balance the diet. We were educated on the vision and mission of the Rotary club and was also giving an open check to pioneer the youth version of the Rotary club in the University since Aston didn't have one. However, application is still in progress for the institution to grant it. So far so good, I have had a good fraction of life in Birmingham but I know there's still to come.
Settling down
Settling down was quite easy for me since I made a booking for accommodation on campus but needed to do some shopping to make the room take an homely shape. Registration process wasn't tedious since most of the processes had being completed on-line, all I needed to do was just to tender my academic certificates for validation. The registration process was actually stress free.
Academic work started early October and the method of teaching was good and the environment was conducive for learning. Although I thought I was going to have accent issues with the instructors but got over it so quick. All the lecturers were perfect in speaking and they are always ready to entertain your non-silly and silly questions, "asking questions is an important ingredient for the curious mind".
Well, my expectations were met nearly in all areas. The student guild welcoming programmes were wholesome (I visited Alton towers and it's indeed an experience) and the academic calendar had a perfect timing and organization. When I realised I will take my first term exam before Christmas from the academic calendar, I was initially unhappy thinking it's too soon but later loved the idea because I don't have to spend my Christmas vacation with the mindset sounding an alarm to me that Examination is coming SOON. So from the beginning of the term, the business got started and I had to sit tight.

German market
I had the opportunity to work as a volunteer in the FIG
Trampoline & Tumbling World Championships. It's an experience I cannot forget in a hurry. I had the opportunity to work with a large team of event managers and above all met delegates from different countries, I had never had such opportunity before. it was a great event which gave me a great exposure to event managing, planing, organization and team work. The program added colour to my study in Birmingham and gave me another edge in my CV. I watched the gymnast perform and took several pictures and met new folks. I don't want to mentions names because I have more than enough to mention.
Luckily for me after the first day of voluntary service, when I was returning home, I passed through the German market. I was overwhelmed at the traffic of people present at the venue. So much to mention, I saw people using jars to drink beer and the whole environment was just fun and fun and fun. Burgers, barbecues, pizza and hot dog snack were all over. Different traders of all manner of products. Different bars and pub was erected with different iconic images on their top. Indeed I was tired after the program but deliberately pop in to know what's going on there, I wish I took a picture of the event. I'm glad I didn't miss it.
